As part of the project for the management and security of existing dams in Kosovo, the FLOWS program team, in collaboration with the Italian implementation team Studio Pietrangeli, conducted a visit today to the Batllava dam, together with the staff of KRU Prishtina, in the capacity of the dam operator, as well as representatives of the Kosovo Energy Corporation, as its owner. The visit was held as part of the continuation of training for dam operators, focused on monitoring the safety of dams.
The emphasis of the training was on the exchange of experiences and discussion about the need to complete the automated monitoring system, draft a guide for monitoring procedures, and establish an alarm (early warning) system, which constitutes one of the next projects of the #FLOWS program.
